| Acidophilus:
Acidophilus helps to restore a normal balance of healthy
bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract and vagina. A recent
study showed that eating yogurt regularly greatly reduced the
recurrence of vaginal yeast infections. Some studies show that,
when taken orally or inserted into the vagina as a suppository
or douche, acidophilus may prevent or control vaginal yeast
infections caused by Candida albicans.
Acidophilus plays an important role in digestion, helping to
produce a number of chemicals which aid in the digestion
process.
Acidophilus may contain cancer-fighting agents. When given to
patients who have had surgery for bladder cancer, acidophilus
helped to prevent the recurrence of single tumors. This may be
because acidophilus prevents harmful bacteria from creating
cancer-causing substances.
Acidophilus may also lower blood cholesterol levels, because
certain strains of these bacteria absorb cholesterol in the
intestine before it reaches the arteries and causes damage.
Acidophilus helps to manufacture certain vitamins in the
intestines, including vitamins B12 and K, thiamine and folic
acid.
Acidophilus may also relieve diarrhea and food poisoning, and
may replenish beneficial intestinal micro-organisms that
diarrhea flushes out of the body.
Some people who are lactose intolerant may benefit from taking
acidophilus.
Persimmon Leaf:

food containing persimmon leaves or a persimmon leaf extract, a
persimmon leaf extract-containing cosmetic composition having
the action of improving allergic rough skin conditions or
alleviating itching, an allergy or itching preventive or
therapeutic. . . Cure allergies and hay fever now. No need for
antihistamines again.
Malva Leaf:
The seed contains mucilage, polysaccharides and flavonoids.
It is demulcent, (soothes and softens irritated tissues,
especially the mucus membranes) diuretic, emollient, (softens
the skin) galactogogue (increases milk flow in nursing mothers),
and gentle stimulation of the bowels. The seeds are used in
Tibetan medicine, where they are considered to have a sweet and
astringent taste plus a healing potency. They are used in the
treatment of renal disorders, the retention of fluids, frequent
thirst and diarrhea.
Marshmallow Leaves:
Marshmallow Root/Leaf: Traditionally used to soothe and
support the intestines. Herbs high in mucilage, such as
Marshmallow, are often helpful for symptomatic relief of coughs
and irritated throats. Mallow has expectorant and demulcent
properties, which accounts for this herb’s historical use as a
remedy for the respiratory tract, particularly in cases of
irritating coughs with bronchial congestion. Marshmallow root
and—to a lesser extent – marshmallow leaf both contain
significant percentages of mucilage, a natural gummy substance
that does not dissolve in water. Like other mucilage-containing
substances, marshmallow swells up and becomes slick when it is
exposed to fluids. The resulting slippery material coats the
linings of the mouth, throat, and stomach to relieve irritation
and control coughing associated with respiratory or stomach
conditions. For example, marshmallow has been used to treat sore
throats and to alleviate heartburn. Marshmallow may also have
mild anti-infective and immune-boosting properties. Topically,
marshmallow is used to soothe and soften irritated skin.
